2 juveniles stabbed at Boston’s Ashmont MBTA Station, police say

Two juveniles were stabbed at an MBTA station in Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood Monday afternoon, according to police.Boston police said they received the call about the stabbings at the Ashmont MBTA Station at about 3:30 pmMBTA Transit police said the stabbings stemmed from an altercation between juveniles.One male juvenile suffered a non-life-threatening stab wound to his leg, while a second juvenile male sustained a superficial injury, according to transit police.Boston Emergency Medical Services said one person was treated at the scene and transported to an area hospital. “It’s bad. It’s something that people should not have to see. There’s a pool of blood over there,” one witness told NewsCenter 5’s Shaun Chaiyabhat. “It’s traumatic, especially for little kids. They should not have to see that stuff around here.” The MBTA announced at about 3:55 pm that shuttle buses were replacing Mattapan Line trolley service due to police activity on the trolley platform.At 6 : 30 pm, the transit authority said shuttle buses would continue to replace trolley service at Ashmont Station while personnel clean up and make repairs to a glass panel on the platform that was damaged during the altercation.Video from Sky5 showed multiple police cruisers parked outside Ashmont Station with their emergency lights activated.No arrests have been reported in connection with the stabbings at this time.The MBTA said transit police have concluded their investigation at the scene.
