Police pursue driver in high-speed chase that begins and ends in Baldwin Park

Authorities pursued a car that contained a person wanted for brandishing a handgun Thursday night.

The car, a white SUV, began the pursuit in Baldwin Park before traveling on the 101 and 10 freeways, as well as surface streets in downtown Los Angeles before returning to Baldwin Park.

Back in Baldwin Park, the SUV crashed into another car on Bogart Avenue, where the occupants were taken into police custody.

The occupants of the car frequently emerged from the vehicle to wave their hands, though it remains unclear which of them is the subject of the California Highway Patrol’s investigation into brandishing a handgun.
