Boston police officer accused of trying to intimidate detective

A Boston police officer was in court Monday morning after being arrested for allegedly trying to intimidate a detective. Officer Matthew Morrissey, of the Boston Police Department, was arraigned in Dorchester District Court. He faces a charge of intimidation against a police officer. According to a police report, Morrissey parked his pickup truck ten feet from the front door of a sergeant detective’s home on Sunday, close enough to block a door, and then stared at the detective through a glass door for over a minute. The detective recorded video of the incident. Morrissey had been placed on administrative leave Saturday morning.The incident was the third in a series of confrontations while Morrissey is under investigation for allegedly violating the city’s residency ordinance, the report said.The police report also states that Morrissey looked up 55 vehicle registrations ” inappropriately “to determine the extent of an investigation that may have included his members of his family. After appearing for his arraignment Monday, Morrissey was released with certain conditions.
