Body found in woods of Mass. town of Paxton, DA says

Massachusetts State Police detectives are investigating what led to the death of a man whose body was found in the small town of Paxton.The Worcester County District Attorney’s Office said the man’s body was discovered in the woods off of Asnebumskit Road Saturday morning.State police detectives assigned to the DA’s Office returned to the scene on Sunday to further investigate the area.The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of the man’s death.The DA’s office said the man’s identity will not be released at this time as authorities are still in the process of notifying his family.Paxton police and multiple state police units – including the Crime Scene Services Section, Crime Lab, K-9 Unit, Firearms Identification Section and Special Emergency Response Team (SERT) – are assisting the Worcester County DA’s state police detective team in the ongoing investigation.
