Kingston Weather: Cluttered driving conditions are expected in the region

KINGSTON, ONT. A special winter weather guide is in place in the Kingston region of Ontario.

Environment Canada says snowfall of two to five centimeters is expected in the region on Sunday.

“This will be the first snowfall of the season for many localities and is likely to affect road conditions. Motorists are advised to exercise caution as untreated roads can become icy and slippery,” warns the road agency.

Snow is expected to start falling in the morning and last until late in the evening. The weather forecast for Kingston includes a 40 percent chance of showers late in the morning, shifting to periods of snow in the afternoon that will drop up around midnight. Sunday’s highest for Kingston is 0 C.

Counseling is in place for large parts of the Lake Ontario region, including Toronto and Hamilton.
