Happy Thanksgiving from Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani!

The couple celebrates Turkey Day from the place where they tied the knot: Oklahoma!

Thursday on Instagram, Stefani, 52, gave fans an inside look at their celebrations, which included a decorative table setting, festive floral arrangements and delicious food.

The singer shared several snaps from their festivities, as well as a photo of her father Dennis holding a bowl of food in a “Stefani” apron.

But perhaps the best moment was a video of Shelton, 45, and her 7-year-old son Apollo Bowie Flynn wrapping their turkey in bacon together. In a follow-up photo, Stefani captured Apollo laughing next to the turkey, completely wrapped in bacon strips.

Before their Thanksgiving feast, Stefani caught up with entertainment tonight to talk about how she and Shelton would celebrate with their family during what she calls “the best phase of my life.”

“It’s a tradition. My whole family is flying out and we haven’t been there since the wedding. So I’m really looking forward to it,” Stefani said. (The couple tied the knot in July.)

“We have a new house there. We have a new life there,” she said. “So it will be our first Thanksgiving married! Very grateful, very excited.”

Stefani – who shares Apollo, as well as sons Zuma Nesta Rock, 13, and Kingston James McGregor, 15, with ex Gavin Rossdale – said her mother will be around to handle some of the cooking and Shelton will also be a have a hand in the kitchen.

“My mom absolutely loves doing her turkey her way. Blake likes to experiment with several smaller turkeys,” she said. “One year they loved the hot Cheetos turkey, and this year I think they’re wrapped in bacon. I don’t know, the guys just talk about the different things they’re going to do.”

She added: “I know one thing is we’ve never done mac and cheese, but we do mac and cheese. That’s the new added [food]. Every year I feel like we’re adding something new.”

As the couple begins new traditions for the holidays, now as a married couple, Stefani explained that Shelton and Stefani always prepare a “Timpano Pasta Dome” for Christmas.

“Last year we screwed up, I’m sorry! But I hope to make up for last year. We’re going to make sure we do everything from scratch. We love making the memories,” she said, before adding “We’re going big.”

However, what does Stefani want for Christmas?

“I just want everyone to be happy and have that moment,” she said. “It feels like there’s a lot of stress in the air, and I just want my kids to have the best memories we could ever make together this Christmas, and I know we’ll be able to do that.”

During last year’s holiday, the country singer shared a photo on Instagram with Stefani, who was then his fiancée, and wrote that he had “a lot to be thankful for”.

“What a year we’ve all had, but there’s still plenty to be thankful for! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!” He wrote.

They also celebrated a few days after the actual holiday.

Stefani posted a video of a late Christmas dinner to her Instagram story, showing the spread of seasonal decor and food, while also jokingly capturing Shelton drinking a bottle of wine. “Oh my God!” she said laughing as he drank: “He’s pretending!”

Earlier this month, Shelton recalled his wedding day and told PEOPLE why Stefani’s vows meant so much to him.

“What touched me was that she talked about my… [late] brother and my father like she almost knew them,” Shelton said. “She didn’t make it look that way, but it felt that way when she spoke of them. She said she wished they were there and what kind of men she thinks they must have been. Man, it hit me. I couldn’t believe how hard it hit me.”

He added: “I felt like I had gotten a little calloused by this point. I guess I’m not because that absolutely killed me. It’s hard to even remember what else she said. I will never forget that feeling.”

A source also told PEOPLE recently that the couple’s romance was strong.

“Gwen and Blake are doing well. They act like newlyweds,” the source said at the time. “They have the best chemistry.”

With Christmas just around the corner, the busy couple – Shelton is currently coaching season 21 of The voice, while Stefani is working on a new album – looking forward to taking some time off in December and spending the season together.

“Gwen loves Christmas,” the source added. “She can’t wait to spend some time with the family.”
