An enchanting holiday light walk will make its Canadian debut in Metro Vancouver this winter.
Lumagica is described as a “festive light extravaganza” taking place at Cloverdale Fairgrounds in Surrey.
The experience is highlighted by a 1 km light walk intended to capture the spirit of the holiday. Visitors are transported through a light tunnel to Gingerbread Lane, light forests and a magical North Pole village.
Organizers say Lumagica includes over 120 features and ornaments, interactive displays, animations and photo options. There is also a festive marketplace with live entertainment, hot drinks and tasty treats and Christmas presents.
Tickets start at $ 16 with free admission for children under four. In addition, discounts will be available for families, after-school students and seniors. They can be purchased upon entry; however, guests are encouraged to pre-book tickets online to ensure availability and reduce waiting times.
The event is barrier-free and is accessible for wheelchairs and strollers. According to the event website, the light walk will take just under an hour to complete. Security measures such as timed tickets, a BC vaccine card check and further cleaning will take place.
Lumagica runs from 3 to 30 December and is open daily from 16 to 22.
