Dead & Company cancels concerts in Florida

The sold-out shows in West Palm Beach and Tampa would kick off the band’s fall tour.

Dead & Company has canceled the first two shows of their upcoming fall tour. Dates in the Florida cities of West Palm Beach on Oct. 6 and Tampa on Oct. 7 have been scrapped “due to routing and production logistics,” according to a sextet note.

The band featuring Grateful Dead members Bob Weir, Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann along with John Mayer, Jeff Chimenti and Oteil Burbridge will now begin the tour at Charlotte’s PNC Music Pavilion on October 11. Dead & Company’s West Palm Beach game was to take place. at iTHINK Financial Amphitheater, while the Tampa performance was scheduled for MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheater at the FL State Fairgrounds.

“Dead & Company looks forward to performing in West Palm Beach and Tampa in the future,” reads a portion of the message sent by the band’s representative. Refunds are automatically processed through the point of purchase. Both concerts were sold out.
